On the initiative of GreenICT, ICTRegie and the GreenICT foundation will co-operate for further development of the IIP sustainable ICT in the coming period. This nascent innovation platform does have the support of, among others, Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of technology, TNO, University of Twente and Wageningen University & Research center.

The IIP sustainable ICT is an open alliance between researchers, companies and/or social organizations and users. It aims to encourage and promote sustainability in the information and communication technologies among others through the joint development of a theme-based strategic research agenda. It is up to the participants to give the agenda further details.
One might think of subjects such as energy efficiency, recycling, sustainable software, innovative materials, and sustainable (wireless) network infrastructures.
